紅雀、道奇雙強對決，Michael Wacha掌控全局，先發7局失1分，幫助紅雀7比1擊敗道奇，最近3連勝，Michael Wacha是國家聯盟本季第3位贏得8勝的投手。
24歲的Michael Wacha，2012年選秀第一輪被紅雀隊選中，很快地，2013年5月底就升上大聯盟，這2年他在大聯盟的成績是9勝7敗、防禦率3.04。
今年球季開打，Michael Wacha大放光芒，先前已投出開季7連勝的佳績，今天對道奇之戰，Wacha先發7局被擊出7支安打，僅在6局下失1分，漂亮地拿到第8勝（1敗），他是繼海盜隊Gerrit Cole、大都會 Bartolo Colon之後，本季國聯第3位贏得8勝的投手。
紅雀隊此戰擊出12支安打，Jhonny Peralta敲3安，有1分打點，表現最佳，Kolten Wong、Jason Heyward各敲2安，道奇隊擊出9支安打，Carlos Frías先發6.2局失5分、3分責失，吞敗投（4勝3敗）。
紅雀隊目前戰績36勝18敗，是大聯盟戰績最佳的球隊，道奇隊31勝23敗，在國聯西區排名第一。
